The Bells of Hell

The Bells of Hell

The bells of hell were ringing
As shovels broke the ground.
An earthly choir singing
Let out a joyful sound.

As Saints the field were thronging
To see as soil was turned,
With joy in their belonging,
Their hearts within them burned.

The temple lot, still empty,
A field of flower - strewn sod,
Will soon stand as a sentry,
A temple unto God.

And we will worship gladly
Our ancestors to bless.
Is Hartford waiting madly?
I’d have to answer, YES!

The bells of hell are ringing,
Go!  Thwart their temple joys!
The Saints of God are singing
Come!  Stop that beastly noise!

Old Lucifer sends demons
Who try to thwart our work
In this, the final season,
We must not slack or shirk.

Be up and at the ready!
Attend God’s temples now.
We must be firm and steady
The Lord will show us how.

Prepare!  Our temple’s rising
And soon is done as well.
Your names need organizing!
Let’s ring the bells of hell!

Ground was broken on the Hartford, Connecticut LDS Temple site just over a year ago, on August 17th, 2014.  As you can see, the construction is moving right along, but it can't come fast enough to satisfy the Latter Day Saints in this area!
